Users’ Database Management

CIAL D&B builds user profiles by starting from a government legal identification number, an email address, a personal name, or other information that the user provides to the CIAL D&B . This Personal Information is matched with publicly available information about the user (such as shareholder and company manager role information contained on public record data, social networks’ profiles, etc.) and Personal Information contained in the databases of our business partners, such as Dun & Bradstreet Int’l and regional members of the Dun & Bradstreet World Wide Network. We may also complete user profiles with publicly available company information, including leadership information. The combination of the Personal Information provided by the user and the Personal Information collected via these other sources allows us to build profiles that we can display and use for improving CIAL D&B . For example, we use Drift for this service.

Payment Processing

CIAL D&B uses third-party service providers to process payments. It currently uses PayU, Paypal Zooz, and Stripe to process such payments. Zooz provides a service called PaymentOS which allows CIAL D&B to provide local payment processing by changing the payment processer based on parameters such as currency and payment method. PayU, PayPal and Stripe provide payment processing services and provide payment confirmation information to CIAL D&B, but they do not provide payment card information.

To facilitate customer support and communication

We may use 3rd party web services to facilitate communication and provide a better customer experience.

For example, CIAL D&B uses Aircall, Inc. to provide unified voice-based communication to our customers, who can contact us using local number in multiple countries.

CIAL D&B uses Helpscout, Inc. to manage support tickets, some of which might contain private customer information if the message from the customer contains such information.

CIAL D&B uses Drift, Inc.’s web-based chat tool to communicate with customers on our websites and web applications.

CIAL D&B uses customer relationship management tools, including Salesforce, Inc.’s web-based salesforce.com platform to facilitate communication with customers and other businesses with which we interact.

In all cases, CIAL D&B maintains data security as a high priority and places a best effort to only interact via encrypted connections, utilizes services that provide for our data security requirements and only sharing with each platform information required to provide a robust and high-quality customer experience. Each platform’s specific information can be found in each company’s privacy policy available on their respective publicly available websites

Therefore, we adopt as security measures to protect information:

b) periodical verification and supervision of privileges
c) active traceability of users’ interaction

a. Right of Access: power or disposition that the owner has about the information that concerns him, as well as the right to access and know the treatment of his personal information.

b. Right of Rectification: the owner may request the company to correct the personal data it has in its bases, when these are incorrect, imprecise, incomplete or outdated.

c. Right of Cancellation: the owner shall have the right, at all times, to request the person responsible for the cancellation of his/her personal data when he/she considers that they are not being treated in accordance with the principles and obligations set forth in the Law.

d. Right of Opposition: the owner may oppose or request the cessation of the processing of their personal information in specific situations, justifying a legitimate reason derived from their own personal situation to oppose that their personal data, continue to be treated for specific purposes, in order to avoid damage to the owner due to the persistence in the treatment thereof.

Transfers of Personal Information from the EU/EEA and Switzerland through the US – Privacy Shield

CIAL D&B through its established data relationship, data transfer mechanism and data transfer policy with Dun & Bradstreet complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss – U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States, respectively. In cases of onward transfer from Dun & Bradstreet to third parties, including CIAL D&B , of data of EU or Swiss individuals received pursuant to Privacy Shield, Dun & Bradstreet is potentially liable. For ARG and for BRA: For international transfer, it is mandatory to have express consent and guarantee that the country that receives and treats the information has appropriate level of protection of personal information / data.
